ELIZABETH'S SMILE

When a child loses a parent,
they often lose a childhood.

Elizabeth’s Smile is here to make sure bethroved children have the network of support to make sure they can stay kids.

For the launch of Elizabeth’s Smile, a new non-profit dedicated to supporting children who have lost parents to terminal illness, Wieden+Kennedy has teamed up with ART CAMP and Partizan to create a new film. Through live action and animation, this film brings to life the wildest dreams of children who have faced loss, ultimately communicating that every child deserves to dream.

This film was written entirely by the three children featured, who candidly shared their hopes and dreams in front of the camera. This served as the basis for the film’s unique animation style that was brought to life by creative studio Art Camp. After 3D animating the subject’s dreams, they printed out each sequence at 10 frames per second and drew on the frames individually. This blend of mediums resulted in a dream-like finish that is both sophisticated and whimsical at once.

Each frame was meticulously crafted, blending CGI with hand drawn details.
